Tranzaura, the Irish transport tech firm, has officially opened its new office in Limerick, on Friday May 9th, marking a significant milestone in the company’s continued growth and expansion plans.
Located in the Georgian Quarter in the heart of Limerick city centre, Tranzaura’s new office will serve as a central hub for the company’s rapidly growing team and a base to support its expanding global customer footprint.
The office was officially opened by Niall Collins TD for Limerick County and James Collins, interim chair of Limerick Twenty Thirty (LTT), which is aimed at driving enterprise and investment across Limerick and the MidWest region.
Strategic growth and recruitment plan
The new office is part of a broader strategic plan to double its workforce over the next 18 months, with a particular focus on hiring across all divisions of the business, from product development and customer success, to engineering and sales.
The firm is looking to next expand into the wider European market, after earlier this year launching ‘FleetNow‘, an industry-first fleet intelligence software, aimed at reducing costs and maximising operational efficiency by up to 30%.
The company has grown steadily year on year, helped by its growing presence in Ireland, the UK, and Australia. The firm brings real-time information to transport & fleet companies, to drive operational efficiencies , keep track of compliance obligations and manage assets.
Currently, 65% of red buses in London use Tranzaura’s software, along with 36% of all buses across England. Additional clients include Irish Rail, builders merchant retailer Travis Perkins, utilities leader Yorkshire Water and packaging giant DS Smith.
CEO, Shane Mann, said: “Our new office represents much more than just a change in location – it’s a clear signal of where Tranzaura is headed. We want to grow our headcount by a minimum of 50% this year and have more than 40 employees in the company by this time in 2026.”
“We’re investing in our future, scaling our operations and deepening our Limerick roots. Limerick is our home and is the perfect place to do that, with its talent pool, strong infrastructure and growing tech community in the city centre.”
“As we grow, we remain focused on what matters most: delivering tangible value to our customers, creating a supportive and inclusive work culture and making transport operations safer and more efficient for everyone.
Speaking ahead of the event, Niall Collins TD, said: “Tranzaura is a great example of a homegrown Limerick company that is not only thriving locally but also competing and innovating on a global stage. Their continued growth and success underline the remarkable talent and entrepreneurial spirit that exists here in the Mid-West region.”
“Tranzaura’s decision to expand operations right in the heart of Limerick city centre underpins our city’s skillset. It reflects not just the availability of skilled professionals and business-friendly infrastructure, but also the vibrant, collaborative environment that makes Limerick an increasingly attractive destination for ambitious technology companies.”
James Collins, chairman of Limerick Twenty Thirty (LTT) , said: “I am thrilled to see Tranzaura’s expansion. This investment is a vote of confidence in Limerick’s capability to foster digital innovation and high-quality employment opportunities.”
