Transdev Blazefield accelerate data capture and reliability around compliance and maintenance using real time cloud technologies
Transdev Blazefield – the North of England bus operator who comprise of 10 owned and operated fleets have adopted the Tranzaura platform to transform compliance and maintenance management using the latest cloud technologies.
Transdev previously used manual paper processes to manage daily vehicle checks and defect reporting, often resulting in communication issues, limited data and delays around defect rectification. The Tranzaura App is now being used on 550+ buses, with data being gathered about real time compliance and unplanned maintenance from over 1200 drivers every single day. Via 3rd party integration, drivers can also now see engineering sign offs for closed defects in real time; improving communications, visibility and decision making.
Since adopting the Tranzaura platform they;
- Receive a live data feed each day around compliance, defect reporting and unplanned maintenance which is improving visibility and decision making around the full maintenance picture
- No longer miss vital information and have significantly improved data reliability with full back ups, audit trails and photo evidence
- Optimised compliance management and defect reporting with peace of mind that proper checks are conducted in the appropriate amount of time
The platform is fully customised to feel part of the Transdev company brand and also has a seamless and sophisticated driver login using a keypad and payroll id through their ticketing machine. Custom management reports are also used to observe driver activity more closely, to improve overall driver training.
Tranzaura and Transdev have ensured close collaboration throughout this project with ten operating companies, operating across different locations. The platform has created the synergy needed and introduced the consistent flow of high quality information and consolidated reporting across all operating companies and sites.
User feedback within Transdev has also been positive with almost 90% of drivers rating the App as positive included feedback around ease of use, better recording of defects and higher levels of engagement.
“From the project’s inception, the primary goal was to equip drivers with a tool for thorough vehicle checks, ensuring safety and compliance. Transdev wholeheartedly embraced the technology, actively involving both drivers and engineers from day one. Their commitment played a pivotal role in the successful adoption of this solution”, said Mark McGuire, Customer Delivery Manager at Tranzaura.
