Tranzaura is elevating defect reporting standards for Bus Operators across England with its widely adopted electronic App. As of September 2024, over 11,000 buses in England (36%) now use the Tranzaura App daily, replacing traditional paper methods for tracking unplanned maintenance tasks. Bus drivers check an average of 130,000 items daily, amounting to almost 4 million items each month.
Around 65% of the iconic Red Buses in London, including operators like GoAhead London, Metroline, and RATP Dev Transit London, utilize the Tranzaura App. Other UK bus operators such as GoAhead, Transdev Blazefield, Nottingham City Transport, Newport Bus and Acme Bus have also adopted the App.
The Tranzaura App supports bus operations by:
- Digitising and streamlining daily vehicle inspection checks and maintenance processes
- Improving reliability, safety, and sustainability
- Eliminating paper use in daily pre-service checks and handling potential defects throughout the workday
- Enhancing control over unplanned maintenance, reducing defect reporting times and engaging end-users more effectively
Vitto Pizzuti, Operations Director at Transdev Blazefield says “The Tranzaura App is being used on 500+ Transdev buses across Yorkshire and Lancashire with data being gathered about real-time compliance and unplanned maintenance from over 1000 drivers every single day. Transdev has wholeheartedly embraced the technology and actively involved both drivers and engineers from day one, with 90% of drivers rating it as positive. We have also embarked on our next step of digital transformation with Tranzaura around driver incident reporting and are also helping them to pioneer language translations as the next big step in driver management”
Shane Mann, CEO says “We are proud that Tranzaura is already used on around 11,000 buses in England and that we can support these operators to not only excel in safety, reliability and efficiency but to also deliver more value to customers. Behind the scenes, we are also working on further innovative solutions to support the bus industry optmise driver management and sustainability impact which include language translations, digital incident reporting and driver duty cards, but our lips are sealed until the Euro Bus Expo in November!”
Euro Bus Expo will be held between 12-14 November at the NEC Birmingham. Register for free tickets here. Tranzaura will be on stand 142.
